Also there is more wind scheduled for the northern plains including North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Minnesota and Southern Canada. We need heavy unrelenting rains now in order to end the drought and put an end to wildfires in Wyoming, Montana, Idaho, and the Dakotas.

Actually now that its just offshore I can see it. The first thing I notice is that precipitation doesnt completely encircle the center of low pressure. This is a weakening storm.
Its the massive surge though for this storm thats gonna be devastating. Its pushed a wall of water ahead of it across the entire Gulf. This happens on the Great Lakes in the fall and winter. If we get a North/Northeasterly wind down Lake Michigan there is coastal flooding in Illinois and Indiana. We call it a full fetch.
