Holy Father, yesterday, You once again demonstrated how strong we can be when we unite in prayer to bring hope for one of us in need. u/joanofsnark humbly came to us for support regarding her kid’s illness. I praise You for how much friendly attention her post got and for the genuine compassion every one showed. When we all gather to help getting someone out of trouble we are a community, much unlike the commercial user groups who call themselves that way all around the Internet.
AGENDA
Today we celebrate Ignatius of Antioch.
Ignatius of Antioch (died c. 108/140 AD), also known as Ignatius Theophorus ('the God-bearing'), was an early Christian writer and Patriarch of Antioch. While en route to Rome, where he met his martyrdom, Ignatius wrote a series of letters. This correspondence forms a central part of a later collection of works by the Apostolic Fathers. He is considered one of the three most important of these, together with Clement of Rome and Polycarp. His letters also serve as an example of early Christian theology, and address important topics including ecclesiology, the sacraments, and the role of bishops.

See you tomorrow, Frens!🤓
Mary!🤗💐
It’s raining cats and dogs here. But the house is waterproof and we are cosy.
It's colder than an ice cube here. A nice 33 F which is 1 degree above freezing. We had a freeze last night so we were prepared and turned on our furnace Tuesday night. Sure warmed up nice and cozy here too.
We have a Tshirt temperature here, but last week the wind took sll of the quinces aeay and they were rotten when the weather allowed me to go pick them up.🥵💐
I had some surprise 'cherry and grape' tomatoes that came up on their own this year. They were in a spot where I had some last year, and while doing some weeding, I spotted the plants and left them. They came in a little late, but geez they were really good. Great in salads. When I heard about the freeze last night, I picked a bunch of the green ones and put them on my counter to finish ripening. Later I will go out and pull up the plants and discard them. They were so tall, which is what they do, that I have them growing up my back porch rail and tied to it. It would be nice if they surprised me again next year.
My Mom has cherry tomatoes in her garden they have reseeded themselves for the last 20 years. She does the exact same thing, she picks all the green ones before the first frost and leaves them out on the table to rippen. I've got a few in my fridge from this years crop.
Speaking of cats and dogs, I went to the mailbox the other day and the closer I got to the road, the louder the meows I heard. After crossing the road to the mailbox, I saw a little kitten in the ditch. He was afraid of me when I got down in the ditch, (It was hard to get myself out) that I had to go get my grandson Wyatt to come and help me. With a little tempting with some cat food ( George adopted 3 strays on our front porch) Wyatt managed to get 'him' out. So Wyatt has a new cat he named Kevin.
That’s kind. Thank him on behalf of all the kittens .🤗💐
Either the kitten wandered off (which I doubt) or someone threw him out (abandoned him) on the side of the road. Some people have no compassion to send them to the dog pound where they would find a home for it. I'm just thankful I heard him because if it had found it's way out of the ditch, a vehicle would have ran over it. So I knew it needed rescued. And I knew my daughter would take it as she really loves animals of all kinds.
Loving animals is a really nice way to improve one’s compassion.🤗💐
