Name them. Give me real world examples of actual people getting sick (really sick, not just an upset tummy) from toxins from well cooked food. I don't mean is it possible, I mean, give me reasonable statistics, or even a descent report.
People are afraid about bacterial toxins. That is a fear that is based on lab experiments where the toxins exist (I've done those lab tests), but aren't actually doing any harm in real world nutrition. People don't die from these things. This is just not a fear that has anything to do with reality. You know what has to do with reality? When people send otherwise perfectly reasonable food to the incinerator and 100M people in China are murdered by starvation to "save people."
Again, THE DOSE MAKES THE POISON.
If it smells bad, DON'T FUCKIN' EAT IT. What is stupid is fear mongering coupled with an absence of some common sense. Eating minorly questionable food thoroughly prepared (a few hours in a water bath at 212F AKA stew) will save your life. I promise.
You don't need to be afraid of lab rats. I used to be one of them. They are mostly harmless. Media reports about them however can be devastating to reason.
