If these idiots weren't all millionaires, then they'd probably understand how hard it is for a couple to earn enough money per month to pay for a mortgage, a car, utilities, groceries, etc. Yet, instead, they are wealthy enough that a ten percent rise in prices just does not move their financial bubble. So, they just don't care. Why should they? They live in ivory towers, have servants, and don't have to push a shopping cart around a Walmart for their meals. They are so out of touch with the common man they cannot comprehend what inflation really is. In other words, they are so smart they are really stupid. Book smarts don't equate to real life.
