Great acting effort by Donald, but the ad is not that good. The reason why I say that is because it sends conflicting messages. On one hand, you have Donald Trump learning to make pottery which makes you think they are advertising an art school. Then we see advertising for a computer/tech website that is little known and you have to ask yourself, "what the heck does this have to do with pottery."
My version of this ad would feature the future President having computer problems throughout the day with an aide finally suggesting that Trump try cozone.com for computer help.
Lol. He would analyze the ballistics and determine that based on your body mass and angle of trajectory, you would have been more effective using a slightly different caliber thus saving you a few cents in your wallet all while achieving maxium effect.
I don't think the Trump campaign needs to make better ads. Besides, Donald wasn't running for President at the time of the ad in the post. It is the computer company that is in need of better advertising. If they had it, they would be here today.
Besides that, The Simpsons parodied good and bad advertising in season 4's "Mr. Plow." In that episode, Homer makes two commercials for his plow business. The first one is done with family, with a friend filming, and clearly sells the product he is selling though it premieres at three in the morning. Then the second is produced with the aid of a major production company, and that is much worse than the Cozone commercial in this post. It doesn't even mention the product with the exception of the business name at the end.
