East coasters say "on line" instead of saying "in line".
This is a local dialect thing. much like the south calls soda "coke", the west "soda", the north "pop" etc.
NYCers say "stand on line" instead of "stand in line". Trump is a NYCer
I always hated that.
not as much as I hate when North Eastern people leave out entire words when talking, like:
"Kamala needs removed"
"the car needs repaired"
"the fish needs scaled"
FOR FUCKS SAKE ITS "TO BE", USE IT you fukkin bostoners
I've never heard that type of stuff thankfully.
We have our own dialect in NJ but not like ny and Boston.
Of course I'm in southern NJ, not northern.
Taylor Ham? Or Pork Roll?
"ING" is your old norse friend.
Removing. Repairing. Scaling.
Nope.
They don't say it like that.
"The car needs fixed"
"The hose needs attached"
"The mayor needs fired"
Ing doesn't make sense in any of that. These people simply remove "to be" from their entire vocabulary. And it's obnoxious
Chewing gum on line. I hope you brought enough for everyone.
