The way I see it, the election was fully controlled by the WH, but was designed to give the DS the impression that WH are in partial but not full control. In other words, the victory was purposefully soft-pedaled to continue deceiving the remaining DS actors and continue the sting, allowing them to expose themselves even more. The WH are prepping the public for victory, but also hiding their strength from the BH. I like this theory. Let's see how it shakes up.
