Because the United States isn't a private company and the President does not have the power to hire and fire people just because they work in a government agency. He doesn't have the ability to hire and fire people just because they're in the Executive Branch.
Do they not teach this stuff in school now? I was in 6th grade when my class started learning how the government works.

Absolutely. It's pitiful that MOST Americans are ignorant of our federal government and its founding and current state of lawlessness. It's down right frustrating to engage in conversation on the subject with most people.

I hope Trump knows who to get rid of at FEMA. Maybe it is one of the agencies that can be saved after he bleaches it.
