Interesting that he would choose Cornyn over Cruz... anyone have a clue why? My understanding is that Cornyn has been a huge swamp monster. What's the beef between Trump and Cruz really about? Cruz claims to support MAGA and Trumps campaign effort (mentioned in Cruz's victory speech). He is, however, an ultra-zionista... something many don't like and I am not particularly comfy with. What's the deal?

It is my understanding that Mitch McConnell is looking for votes this coming Weds to replace him and these are the 3 names that have come up. Personally I’d rather see Rand Paul in this position.
