I don’t believe that’s what is happening here fren. Freedom is the cornerstone of true Christianity. Free will with the freedom to choose is paramount to our Father’s will. Even Jesus Himself instructed us to pray that God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven - not to impose it on others. The communist satanic war mongering globalists are the tyrants taking away our freedoms. This is dark to light. BTW I did not downvote your comment.
So, there's spiritual Christianity, and there's the Christian church. The church is what worries me as they are ones who want to legislate Christianity into law. This is routinely countered by The Satanic Temple in often humorous but important ways. We cannot have laws that respect Christianity and not Satanism (this is not the kind that sacrifices children or animals...that's something else). We CAN ban the sacrifice of animals and children...but that would mean the jews cannot do their red heiffer thing, either (and we don't want them to because end times stuff...yeah). Meanwhile, atheists are rolling their eyes wishing all religions in general (including the devil worshipping pedo cults) would just perish and we would be left with a decently moral secular society.
This is interesting because I was thinking about how President Trump's video relates to atheists as I was making my coffee this morning. IMO this is good news for atheists. Atheists aren't, and would not be, exempt from the increasingly tyrannical mandates from the cabal. Eventually we (atheists and non-atheists alike) would be forced to confess our agreement with preferred pronouns, men can be women, etc. or otherwise not just lose our jobs but likely our lives.
I say this not because I believe that Jesus Christ is King "because I believe it / think so" but because I believe it is the truth, it is reality. With Christianity though God calls us to spread the voluntary gospel, but the harvest belongs to Him. Anyone who tries to force Christianity on anyone is NOT a true Christian.
What I wish for all of us is not a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
I think I found a scripture verse you might like. 2 Corinthians 3:17 says: "Where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom."
You know me and my username love that one!
I think we have a lot in common in how much we cherish freedom. I would never have posted the video from President Trump if I thought it was a threat to our freedom.
I agree with your opening sentence completely. You separate there man made theology from spirituality. I as a Christian have a problem with denominations which are a fancy way to say divisions. God had nothing to with any of them.forming. all man made. I've met the least informed people concerning God's word in churches. The Bible says believers are of the Body of Christ and CHrist is the head. Not thr pope, not an ecclesiastical body or synod, not any man. Most of what calls itself Christianity isn't Christian at all but in name.
That's still a religion, albeit looser than the church. However, there is a lot of overlap between this generic form of Christianity and deism, pantheism, and panentheism (and panpsychism by extension). Taoism fits well within this worldview, too. I think the actual character of Jesus would be much better company than his followers, particularly the weaponized christian types who want to make America a theocracy.
The church itself doesn’t worry me. There is value to some religious practices as they have the structures to grow people spiritually through teachings and community. The BIG problem with most churches and religions today is the corruption within them and the watered down scriptures. You are lucky to find one that is true to God and won’t lead you astray. You’d have much better luck if you try and find God on your own.
That's why we're better off being atheists. Dismiss everything. Then, when God comes along wanting to know why we dismissed him, show him the clusterfuck of belief systems, each more bizarre than the last. If he was a reasonable God, then he would understand.
How will you recognize God as an atheist if you do not believe in him? God could be standing right in front of you and you would reject him because the atheist belief system in your mind does not accept his existence. First step to meeting Chris is to believe he is real. We may be better off or not worse off as atheist than being religious - but only for a short time to experience life outside Gods real while we still remember what it was like with him. Sadly most don’t get to experience both sides and are only served one extreme. I grew up with an atheist mindset myself and always felt “blank”. Only since I’ve found Jesus do I feel whole and as if I finally understand what I was looking for all along. With Him I feel at peace within myself. We absolutely need Jesus. But we don’t necessarily need religion to find him was my points

Yeah, I'm staunchly conservative, minus religion. I don't care what your beliefs are as long as they don't negatively impact me.
