This actually makes more sense. It does seem weird that a corrupted senate and house can negate and control the office of the president but also why deep state seems to use the VP office as a security policy.
That doesn't seem like a balance of power when 2 can gang up on the 1 to cancel it out.
If We the People truly are in control it makes more sense that OUR President and Vice President that we pick, have EQUAL power to keep the other 2 in check, not the other way around.

This won’t solve the problem of swamp rat leadership setting the agenda in the Senate. The only way Vice President Vance could influence the Senate agenda would be if he also won the position of Leader of the Republican Caucus.
That being said, I am pretty sure that 47's warning to South American leaders that he will reveal all their bribes and corruption if they don't get in line is not exclusively focused on foreign enemies. I'm pretty sure that rule applies to domestic enemies, including RINO enemies.
My guess is that they will install Thune and think they somehow won the day. After that, a red folder will be handed off to some staff person and "Project Thune" will begin.
I don't think thats accurate. I think those are senate rules that have been manufactured to get around the v.p. having the real power to set the agenda. Rules the v.p. ny positional authority has the right to over ride.
I was wondering what the President of the Senate's power were... does he have the power to bypass the Majority Leader - and is the Majority Leader even a constitutionally recognized position...?

I would be concerned in the future if we ever get a Democrat VP and manage to keep a check on them by being a majority in the Senate, they would try to play that card. Dems didn’t think ahead when they made the VP a ceremonial position when the states’ votes are certified. Among a lot of other things…..We should be careful and think about all scenarios.

How does this work if the Dems happen to have the majority in the Senate? Does this mean that even if we were to lose the Senate after midterms (and I'm not saying we will) that the VP would still control the Senate?
Oh shit is that the secret trump spoke about. So the V.P. sets the agenda and not the rinos like McConnell? Holy beef batman this makes total sense so as to drive the senate agenda in the voter favor. A brilliant rule to keepnthe senate from screwing g over the voters mandate.
