Not only online but even in my own friend circle. Example- one friend works as an engineer for a company that designs furnature and said that if the tariffs go on they'll have to close their business or lay people off to a graveyard shift, because they import all their wood and their margins aren't that great to begin with.
Trump will have to maneuver this well to bring our production back home without doing too much short-term damage, maybe give businesses an immediate financial incentive to begin buying local product and have some kind of safety net to prevent small businesses from going under. What are your thoughts frens
edit- oh and of course, the raging left is using this as a battering ram to harm support for Trump before he even takes office. It's a literal constant refrain right now on the lefty channels, along with deportations

Lots of ways to do it, and Trump is savvy.
I imagine it happening in tiers, industry by industry, slowly ratcheting it up so that local producers can ramp up production to make it easier for manufacturers and sellers to gradually switch their sourcing to domestic.
I also suspect that Trump will inject a lot of liquidity to get us started.
Once Trump cuts regulations and removes all of the BS that prevents or hampers US production, companies will be able to bring manufacturing back to the US and then the tariffs will take effect.
Trump knows you can't do this all at once.
