This is the first time I have heard this. Proof no matter how old you are you can still learn something new. Problem with the two groups in the CDC is they are a danger to peoples health.
If you're talking about the Hopi's definition of the Apache, I think you are aware that "Indians" have been known to tell a few fibs to "the English", in the past. :) But I liked the story, so I kept it.
My comment about "the other tribe" might get me whacked by those that do not want comments like these, so I'll have to keep it vague.
I was just pointing out I had never come across this one. Normally if they had been enemies in the past one could suspect this. But I am not aware of any wars between the Hope and Apache in the past.

I was given to the understanding that the Hopi and the Navajo think the Apaches are/were bandits that kept stealing their shit, or something. 🤷♂
