True, but knowledge isn't just 3Rs-type skills, it's also awareness of a host if other things like past, present and future local, regional and worldwide happenings in numerous areas such as society, politics, religion and science(/medicine).

The two - knowledge and common sense/reason - compliment each other for a well-rounded, aware and capable populace.
