He was gangly and unsure of himself. Never wanting the spotlight. But look at him now! One of the last rallies, POTUS asked him to stand up and he immediately got to his feet and waved to those around him as he swept the field. I choked with happiness for him as it cannot be easy growing up under the circumstances he has especially when his dad was shot. They have done a wonderful job rearing him.
I am not a writer, but I would love to sit down and interview him, from the time that his dad came down the escalator, to get his perspective of the White House, the places he went to school, the news organizations and how his dad was treated. I think it would make an interesting read. Maybe he will write a memoir on his own:
