What about the First Amendment? There needs to be a middle ground - truth in advertising, but also limiting censorship.
They banned cigarette ads on TV long ago. We need to ban drug ads.
When I was a kid lawyer commercials were illegal too.

Not the same thing at all. I can see where someone would want to voice that as a concern (and most definitely rightly so). It needs to fall in the same stovepipe as guns and tobacco products.
