Later discovery showed that a neighbor in the next apartment over from the author was a former literal spy for Nazi Germany during WWII. The wall betwixt their heads when sleeping seemed little separation for this psychic transfer.
What if both subjects, the ex-spy and the author were both infested with the same parasites and that was the source of the psychic transfer?
They're more based on "issues" orbiting in your energy field than anything else. This explains how you are attracted to certain people in strange ways... like being more attracted to someone who's not "the prettiest girl in the room".
