This olive branch narrative is almost certainly bunk. They are going to go through several months of a humiliation ritual and when the tribunals get to these lower level stooges they will be dealt with swiftly and appropriately. In the meantime, their public about face will be helpful with corralling the brainwashed sheep back into the fold.
