I had the same thought regarding the land. The main thing is for a buffer zone. If Ukraine ends up in NATO though, all bets are off. There’s not much left of Ukraine and I would like to see what crimes are going to be found. There seems too much protection of Ukraine by many, many countries. The placement of Hunter Biden on an energy company is just the tip of the iceberg.
