I heard of something a long time ago, I think it's called Death of a Thousand.
The body is divided up into many small parts... three tiles representing each part are mixed up and chosen at random. The first time it's pulled it's pierced, 2nd sliced, 3rd time it's removed.
There are a few that will result in immediate dear, but a "good" executioner can keep the person alive for a long time. Feeding them the parts that are removed.

Pretty barbaric, but so were their crimes.
These people need to be at trials.
