the Church instituted by Jesus & his Apostles; you don’t abandon the Church that authored the Bible & is the oldest institution in Western Civilization
Jesus seems to disagree when he threatens to destroy bad churches in the first part of Revelation... I personally find the RCC to be so far removed from the simplicity of the Gospel that it's surely on the chopping block, and this I would say 1,000 years ago, well before Pius XII. Again, who is God telling to come out of her my people, and where are they being told to come out of? If a church sets itself up in a way contrary to God's instructions, should it remain?
And yet, the Church is still here. If Napoleon, Gangis Ka’an & the Satanic Freemasons haven’t been able to destroy the Church yet, I believe she is proving the rest of time.
When was your personal church established? 1997? 2015? 1989?
And you still don't answer my questions! That church need not the help of any; she destroys herself repeatedly, as do her daughters the various Protestant sects as well as the secret societies, the odd sects like Mormons and JW, EO seems to be the least perverse though I don't really know much about it. That's an area of study I'd like to explore some day.
I don't have a personal church as I cannot tolerate any of the local assemblies within any reasonable travel distance from my home, sadly, so I stick to small fellowship and online fellowship for the time being.
You stick with your online ministry, hope that works out. I’ll stick with the 2,000 year old church that gave us the Bible, sacraments, and is the foundation of Western civilization.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but expect some push back when you begin to insult the Church established by Jesus & his Apostles. Have some respect for the Church that gave you that Bible.
Have some respect for the Church that gave you that Bible.
This tired arguement needs to die. All the early churches knew what was inspired Scripture and what wasn't. They traded the letters from the Apostles around and the OT was well-established and preserved by the Jews. The canon didn't begin in the 4th century. The foundations of Western civilization are the good aspects of the Greco-Roman world combined with the pure Gospel combined with the Protestant Reformation which threw off the tyranny of the whore of Babylon and her coadjutor princes. Holy Scripture authorizes itself and needs no earthly authority. I thank God for every good thing He has worked through and despite the Catholic church but I have yet to see a convincing arguement for abandoning my position against her.
We still have access to the pre-Vulgate documents from which the Catholic Bible is derived and later translations of the Bible, including the KJV went back to those original source materials and based their translations on them. So the Catholic Vulgate Bible didn't create the Bible, it combined pre-Vulgate documents into a single text. It was a compilation not a creation, and the correct canon had already been understood before the Catholic church's inception.
And you still didn't answer any of my questions kek
-who is God telling to come out of her my people?
-where are they being told to come out of?
-If a church sets itself up in a way contrary to God's instructions, should it remain?
And ya still got it wrong..
That's like going to a library building and never going in.
That's why yall receive the Millstone Award for Debauchery.
get right.
My Catholic Bible has 77 books. I have access to 28 Bible translations including the Catholic Bible (Douay-Rheims).
I was baptized (sprinkled) as an infant in the Roman Catholic Church.
Can you find the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Catholic Bible? What about a Protestant Bible such as the King James? Of course you can. Let's look at Acts 2:38 in both the DRV and KJV:
Acts 2:38 (DRV) - But Peter said to them: Do penance, and be **baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, **for the remission of your sins: and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Acts 2:38 (KJV) - Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be **baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ **for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
Now let me ask you this: Does the Catholic Church baptize "in the name of Jesus Christ"? I don't think it does. It baptizes in the titles "Father, Son and Holy Ghost".
Why doesn't the Catholic Church follow what's clearly in it's own Bible?

Put out their candles. Tell them brother.
Jesus dowses their candle.

My church was started on the Day of Pentecost! I follow the Apostles teachings/doctrine - which I can find in either a Catholic or Protestant Bible.
Let me ask you a simple question: How does the Catholic Church baptize?
Does your Bible have all 72 books? Because only Catholic Bibles do.
