The protected class of people are no longer protected.
If I am not mistaken, this is the same agent who shot people in 2020 on the subway... and walked. 'the agent claimed he acted in self-defense'

So protection that this perp thought he had at one time, and that probably motivated him to commit more crime has now been removed.
great catch. i think its him too.
Double agent that always knew he can get away with anything (until now) I once met someone like that on a bus. he told me all these incredible stories but he always got off, somehow. Was a very rough guy who had some sort of govt job & a BMW
I wonder if he was part of this:

Once upon a time, I wouldn't have believed it, but it seems more likely than not these days.
Yeah something like that but I'd bet the guy I met was a hit man, just by his demeanor. With someone else though, I remember once joking around & said: "Oh you must be in the CIA" She reacted as they describe in the article. Just consider the money it takes to hire all of them! But yes, I concur, if anything this article is downplaying it.
"The law does not require that you wait to be struck before you take action. Had this resulted in a hands-on fight and a struggle for Agent Valdivia's gun, only God knows what could have happened," Bonsib said after Valdivia was charged.
Really? So you can just open or conceal carry and if anyone approaches you aggressively, you can legally fire upon them because they might grab your gun?
All of this probably varies from state to state.
Oh. He was the protected class. I see.
Damn perp. He needs to go for a swim in the Everglades
If you figure the process is part of the punishment, when he was arrested for shooting a guy on a train, he was let go. It looks a lot like strings being pulled to yank him free of the judicial process.
Now however, he was arrested while knowing he was an FBI agent, rather than just seeming like some rando crazy who opened fire in a crowded public area. If he was still enjoying immunity and protections, these arrests would never have happened.
