Practicing my multi-dimensional chess, I thought about what needs done in order for Trump's actions to clean out the rats nests that have accumulated within the federal government to be successful. Hopefully, some of the worst DS offenders have their day in military courts but there are far more who unfortunately must be dealt with in the federal court system. To help things along, I was wondering how many judgeships are currently open and whether Trump can recess appoint replacement judges so as to avoid the swampy confirmation hearings that would inevitably slow the process down?

Approximately 40. But I believe that Trump will annul the Bidan presidency and appoint all of those as well. I think that later that Obama’s presidency will be annulled as well. I think judges and justices are the diamonds that the criminals will not get to keep.
Just like Biden used executive orders to annul the Trump Presidency within days. Trump will return the favor. Life became hell within days after Biden got into office, we’ll have just a quick a turnaround.
Don’t know how many are open. And yes, Trump can recess appoint judges. https://constitution.congress.gov/browse/essay/artII-S2-C3-2/ALDE_00001146/
According to somebody else, there are 40 judgeships open right now. Theoritically, I think the President, as commander in chief, can send troops to Capital Hill in order to keep Congress out of session long enough so he can make the recess appointments. It could result in a court fight with President Trump arguing that Pro Forma Sessions are unconstitutional, and they are because there is no provision in the constitution allowing for Congress to hold short three minute sessions in order to prevent recess appointments.
He'll have to do something to keep Congress out of session because he can't arrest them when they are in session.
