I can tell you that UAkron charges $1,500 for a 3 hour calc I class. For that you get a part time teacher who is a retiree from the local school district who sees less than 1% of the money paid by all the students in class. That class works out to $500/hr.
I remember going to college in '81 and had to pay about $40/credit hour. I wonder what it is today.

OUCH! How do kids afford this nonsense? No wonder they are $100k+ in debt after they graduate.
I hear it's about $37000 a years for public school, and almost $50000 a year for private.
