POTUS can only pardon Federal crimes. Not state crimes.

The most he can do is have DOJ lawyers file amicus briefs to try and sway the judge. This guy is screwed if found guilty - unless Gov Hochul pardons him. If she does, it won't happen until it is almost election time again and she thinks her voters will dump her unless she pardons him.
