After Hunter was pardoned, I'm seeing more names being floated like Dr. Fauci, Comey, etc. Can they be issued pardons even before being charged with a crime? Seems to me if a pardon is being considered, they're thought to potentially have committed crimes. Isn't it a crime to not make law enforcement aware? What the hell is going on?

How can you pardon anyone who hasnt been charged or convicted of a crime?
It seems like the crime is hypothetical until an indictment is issued. So the Pardon is not based in reality. This is just crazy to me.
I had that same thought. I wondered if this narrative of “Joe is considering pardoning…..” is a fake narrative, designed to either disturb people or wake them up.
Yes. There is a duplicate post covering the same here.
not for treason
Treason not mentioned. Impeachment yes.
Article II, Section 2, Clause 1:
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States; he may require the Opinion, in writing, of the principal Officer in each of the executive Departments, upon any Subject relating to the Duties of their respective Offices, and he shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment.
What is going on?....lawlessness
