We don't know what he truly wants now, and even less what he might want when he is a full adult because even he might not know that yet. Perhaps he wants to run the first Mars colony, not the USA - that would probably leave a larger mark on history than being just one of the USA presidents - or become a businessman, not a politician, especially if the USA is doing well when he becomes old enough that he could consider presidency.
And in the end it's not about we want. It's about what HE wants to do with his life. His life, he decides.

While it would be great if Barron decided to enter public service in one form or another, we don't need political dynasties like the Kennedys.

I'd bet he's a little bit pissed having watched everything his Dad has gone through these last few years. Just like that one meme states, they don't realize they're messing with the wrong Trump.
And that does probably include Trump's other children too. If it comes to "next president Trump", or any of them in public service after their father's second term (and the attacks against that family will probably not cease after that simply because DJT can no longer run, so perhaps one of his kids will need to get into politics just so that they can keep contacts and influence for the sake of self-defense), even if you don't include the girls (Ivanka's husband doesn't seem to be the most popular person around and Tiffany seems to be bit of a lightweight), what about Don Jr and Eric? Why are these discussions usually just about Barron?
