The collapse of the French Government would be significant if it meant Macron was out. But, in the French system he stays with all his Executive powers intact.

Yes but pressure builds for him to resign. Lets see if he can pull together another coalition. If he cant the rumblings become thunderous and he may have no choice despite his defiance.
