I think Nanzi would not "dirty" her hands but hiring someone is not below her station. It would have to be through intermediaries as she wouldn't want this to have her involved in any way. These kind of people need to "keep their distance" from the wrong-doing. Except for all the treason and other type of wrong-doing they participated in.
