Elon never asks for government help. He even stated the EV industry should not be given government subsidies like they give to GM, Ford and others.

Elon tweeted it.

My take: Stossel is showing government incompetence (read: corruption), whereas Elon is showing a lack of ability to "spend it well."

Government should not be subsidizing electric cars, green energy, etc. If Elon comes out and agrees with that, cool.

But he won't.

He will just advocate for "spending it better."
