Milwaukee Organic Nitrogen I learn so much here!
It wouldn't be so bad if sewage was nothing but human waste, but unfortunately, people flush EVERYTHING, and traces of that, including many heavy metals (lead, cadmium, for example), pharmaceuticals, and everything in between, become part of the final milorganite product.
I did a brief reading about it. They "say" it is tested weekly and is clear of heavy metals and pharma. I don't think I believe that but it is their claim.
Having had many discussions with the guy in charge at the waste water plant I do know there is an EXTENSIVE process. Far more in depth than I can comprehend.
There just can't be a reliable way to extract ALL the unwanted stuff though? I support the idea of it if it's cost effective and "safe" but I just can't fathom that either of those criteria can be met. Not my field of knowledge though.
