If you mean Trump, he was 32 when "Y.M.C.A." came out. I am younger, but I had been out on my own and working for a few years at that time. Trump's decade would have been the 1960s. Mine was the late 60s to the early 70s.
For most people, it's the time they are in high school and college. They have the time to pay attention to popular music more. Trump was already hard at work when he was 32. I am different. I have Asperger's, and my biggest interest from the time I was 4 years old till now is music. I have all the recordings that made the charts in the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s, as well as most of them from previous and subsequent decades. I also never made working my top priority. I quit work when I was just 50.
Love it if true. He was also playing "Gloria" by Laura Brannigan for a really long time, anyone have a connection there? BTW, supposedly The Village People are considering playing at the inauguration, LOL

That there was a YMCA at Guantanamo is enough. We all know what Guantanamo means to most Americans in the modern day: Gitmo.
And they thought Gitmo wasn't going to be fun, spending time at the YMCA!
I'd envisioned a Pulp Fiction gimp scenario playing out for attendees opening this post...
I think he just liked it's since he was young when it came out. We all love songs from our decade....
He played it a few times and the people like it.

It's not a hard and fast rule.....

Trump was probably to busy when he was young.
