👉🏻 Link to yesterday’s post.
Holy Father, there we are, beginning the last work week of the year, not that there won’t be chores during the following two weeks. It still feels good to know I can rest a bit and meet some acquaintances and family members. I will finally be able to take a little time fixing some things which replacements would otherwise be a waste and continue the cleaning of my fields’ brambles. I certainly will be tired in some ways but then I can rest a bit between the cats on the sofa: there won’t be alarm clocks ringing every now and then, it shall be a virtuous Kaizen two weeks when I will just pretend to walk just a few baby steps in a direction before actually getting serious. That is how I want my holidays to be: impulsively productive so the spirit knows it has not become apathetic. I pray I still can surprise myself positively so.
AGENDA
Today we celebrate Adelaide of Italy.
Adelaide of Italy (German: Adelheid; 931 – 16 December 999 AD), also called Adelaide of Burgundy, was Holy Roman Empress by marriage to Emperor Otto the Great. She was crowned with him by Pope John XII in Rome on 2 February 962. She was the first empress designated consors regni, denoting a "co-bearer of royalty" who shared power with her husband. She was essential as a model for future consorts regarding both status and political influence. She was regent of the Holy Roman Empire as the guardian of her grandson in 991–995.
