Edit! I am watching Canadian Prepper's newest video right now and he is saying the US gov wanted to buy this from him. They want a lot - I had this so wrong. My memory really sucks. I'm sorry. They aren't asking him to sell this for them, they are wanting to buy it from him. Again, so sorry. I removed my original comment because I had it totally wrong.

When I saw that video I immediately thought that the government is trying to buy up the supply so that we plebes can't get it for ourselves. Ever since COVID and how they pulled NAC from the shelves and told us HCQ and Ivermectin do not work, I know they don't have our health us a priority.
