This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.

Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.

Rules for General Chat

Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving

In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way

I think hypocrites are a big reason many believer’s aren’t in church. I left for that reason and I still struggle with functioning especially early in the morning. Excuse but not an excuse. Until the last six months I have felt the pull to get back to church. I’d be more inclined to go when I’m at the coast than locally. It’s awful most people go to church for the clicks, gossip and judging others. I really don’t care if they do, I’m just not playing their games. We have discussed floating to a few churches but will never join again and get sucked into the BS. If I did anything I’d go to Wednesday night bible study or a women’s bible study. I’m much better but still not driving as much I’d prefer. Didn’t help we got a new car and I don’t feel comfortable driving a bigger car. Old saying, use it or lose it is so true. I’m comfortable driving just not parking a bigger car. Hoping when Trump gets in car prices and interest rates go down. He’s looking me something older to drive but it’s all so expensive. Not complaining, we are very blessed and at a good financial place, but don’t want to over extend. Lesson learned long ago! His goal is retirement in five years and I agree. Anywho, God is in control and it will work out. At least I get non hypocritical Christian’s here and there’s good content online for me. Nothing wrong with local churches. I know I’d run into people in my business, very small community. As long as I & hubby don’t have issue with my appearance don’t really care about others. Can’t help but to be self conscious. I’m still going through some medical stuff especially hormones. I look older than my mom did before she got sick. I have aged twenty years in 1.5 years. Plus other stuff I’m not saying here. I just don’t want people asking my business. That and I don’t other stuff I said.
