If Johnson is fine by Trump there's little point in overthinking it.

Agreed. I want to believe that the back-and-forth a couple of weeks ago was Trump once again playing 5D chess, w/ Johnson needing to take all the heat in order to expose the back-room deals cut by Schumer and the rest. Time will tell.

Without a doubt.

But I didnt have any doubts to begin with. Johnsons meetings with Trump at Mar a Lago, his presence in the suite at the Army-Navy game and his spot in the photo of Trump and his consiglieres eating McDonalds, was enough for me.
