I've been driving, with two exceptions for family, since they were feeling me up after 9/11. Not because of fear of hijacking, but because of security theater. But this wave of crashes is probably a combination of outsourced cheap engineering, dei cheap maintenance, and good old-fashioned alphabet agency wetwork. Until we know exactly who was on the flights, we won't be able to judge on the latter.
