Welcome to General Chat - GAW Community Area
This General Chat area started off as a place for people to talk about things that are off topic, however it has quickly evolved into a community and has become an integral part of the GAW experience for many of us.
Based on its evolving needs and plenty of user feedback, we are trying to bring some order and institute some rules. Please make sure you read these rules and participate in the spirit of this community.
Rules for General Chat
-
Be respectful to each other. This is of utmost importance, and comments may be removed if deemed not respectful.
-
Avoid long drawn out arguments. This should be a place to relax, not to waste your time needlessly.
-
Personal anecdotes, puzzles, cute pics/clips - everything welcome
-
Please do not spam at the top level. If you have a lot to post each day, try and post them all together in one top level comment
-
Try keep things light. If you are bringing in deep stuff, try not to go overboard.
-
Things that are clearly on-topic for this board should be posted as a separate post and not here (except if you are new and still getting the feel of this place)
-
If you find people violating these rules, deport them rather than start a argument here.
-
Feel free to give feedback as these rules are expected to keep evolving
In short, imagine this thread to be a local community hall where we all gather and chat daily. Please be respectful to others in the same way
Rules For the rest of the Site also accessible on the sidebar.

Quite an interesting collection of videos from William Donahue.
This is not for everyone. If you're a hardcore church goer, or believe that the Bible is completely literal, you might just want to skip it ...
However, if you've done the church thing but came away "spiritually starving" or waited for things to "click", but they never did, there are some real keys in these videos.
Personally, I grew up Roman Catholic... and although I always held onto my love for Christ, it was the religion aspect of things that no longer were compatible with my soul's direction and desire.
It's interesting how things truly do come full circle, when you venture way out there and come back to the subject with a different perspective, and experiential wisdom. I didn't know quiet, still meditation was compatible with scripture, because there was always opposition to anything related to that from the church.
Bill takes a scientific approach and uses logic in regards to what was written. Even though these videos are from the 90s, he discusses things like quantum physics and shows how communion with God is only possible through Christ (but NOT in the way you've been taught), and how the kingdom of heaven is within you, just like the Christ said.
He brings up many very interesting ideas that are verified via scripture and logic, with the focus on communion with Christ. It's incredible information that gets to the heart of the matter, pushing dogma, superstition and blind belief aside.
Again, not for everyone...It requires a certain level of maturity to understand. If you are seeking truth at any cost, have a look. If you prefer to "be right" because you just "believe" everything you were told, it's most likely not for you.
