A blackout darkened almost all of Puerto Rico early Tuesday morning as the U.S. territory prepared for New Year’s celebrations.

Right now my in-law would just like her ceiling not to leak and have electricity. She's in the area affected by the black out. It's hard when you don't live close to your parents especially in their elder years when they need more help with things. We've been trying to get her to move in with us.

No, but my husband said they got their power back on around 8pm last night. Said everyone all over were so happy that she could hear everyone cheering, yelling and throwing fireworks, lol. More happy and excited for having power again than they did for celebrating the new year.

Oh, and they don't believe the story the news tells, about how the power went out, they believe it was sabotaged.
