I’m so glad you wrote this. I was raised a Baptist and over time lost my faith (I was younger and naive and believed Reddit posts lol). Luckily God had me go through the absolute toughest times in my life since then. I say luckily because it made me realize I need Him for everything and that the only reason I went through those hard times was because I had lessons I needed to learn to make myself a better man. The only thing that’s ever given me doubt about the Bible since then was the fact that it happened so long ago. I see the corruption and censorship that happens today and know that it was a whole lot easier in the past. I always figured it was certain that the Bible had been messed with in some way and that made me hesitant to read the whole thing. I just didn’t know what would be true or not. It never occurred to me that God would prevent that from happening. It seems obvious now, but it really never crossed my mind. You just gave me comfort on a level I can’t express.
