Elon got slammed for the "f*ck you in the face comment, his ego gets injured by the backlash, so he starts posting about something that everyone can rally behind (child rape atrocities) and gets the praise from his followers that will make him feel good about himself again. This is manipulation.

If he was really concerned about this problem, he could have used his celebrity to help to end it years ago, but he waited until he became unpopular with his followers to play this card.
