Not sure I understand the "humiliation" part; this has been the prescribed action by the US Constitution since we became the USA.
Now the fact that Kamala cannot seem to talk, or convey a thought, never mind give a speech notwithstanding. But she should be able to read a que card, and awkwardly giggle as she performs the only duty she has performed since 2020.
Short and sweet: They (MIL) already got her on that Jesse Smollet related action plus who knows what, and now she is "gonna act the fool" for four years. Why Gitmo her when you can humiliate for all to see.
