Who said anything came from nothing? Even the big bang (which I doubt) has all the matter in the universe already existing in a big crunch. I tend towards there never being a beginning therefore there was no big bang or its religious equivalent: no creation event.

The universe is infinitely bigger than god. God didn't even know the sun is the same thing as a star, let alone that we are in a galaxy among countless other galaxies. The bible says he put it there to give light to man and put the stars in the sky for a nightlight.

I don't understand saying "[don't] look at what he created" when the question is did existence ever need a creator? It's a circular argument.
Think of how big the universe is. The universe itself is GOD, even if you don't believe there is a GOD.
