Do you have a evacuation plan? If you wait to long,it's hard to find a motel at a reasonable distance.
I’m quiet a distance away , so no danger, 45 minutes . The problem right now is the wind , it jumps canyons and can travel quickly . There are many canyon between me and Pacific Palisades ! Last time my neighborhood lost homes it was stupid crazy, the fire jumped canyons and traveled here quicker then anyone could ever imagine, like 150 miles an hour. However, it won’t get to me . I’m far enough away. Thank you for your advice and concern my friend.
Sounds like you are on top of the situation. My neighbor left last time we lost power and she had to drive 100+ miles to find a motel.
Honestly I didnt evacuate last time . Cops were banging on my door but me and kids stayed quiet.the fire jumped the canyon and 13 houses burned down about a 20 minute walk from me , 100 and some total ! but I knew it wasn’t going to make its way to me. After a certain hour in afternoon the cops blocked off the streets and only allowed you to follow a maze to the stadium where the chargers played ,, no ceiling. They wouldn’t allow you to go any where else everyone had to follow the detour to the stadium . They made the decision for me , I knew it would be more dangerous following the liberal politicians orders ! That night it was brutal for people, thousands of people were affected , they ran out of water, blankets no food , and the smoke settled right into the bleachers, it was horrible for those people and those who were trapped there still speak of it . they wouldn’t allow anyone to leave . Screw that, I was safe in my home.

Prayers up for our California citizens in harm's way. I just got off the phone with a cousin who used to live near there and her friends there are getting ready to evacuate. High winds are fanning this fire and making it spread.
Heavenly Father, please protect the lives and properties of all those in that area in need of Your protection. Please guide them to safety if they need to leave their homes and give them strength to bear up against this ordeal. In Jesus' name, we ask for Your grace and protection. 🙏✝️

Oh my goodness, how sad. I just wondered to myself how deliberate this entire thing was. There’s a lot of places on the coast that happened to be burning in California. Wasn’t Ventura one of those locations recently I can’t remember the name of the city, but there was a bunch of houses burning just a bunch of random houses all in the same neighborhood.
