We burn pastures every year and this DOES happen. Almost always it’s older trees that have started to hollow out.
We dread when it happens because we’re trying to have the fire started and back out on the same day and these things will burn for days like that. Acting like a chimney and spread sparks from way up high.
A wooden utility pole can be seen burning inside-out also. Houses as well, with nearby bushes and trees untouched. The walls and roof not burning, but the inside is roaring flames. One house, only the car in the drive was on fire.
100 mph winds "came out of nowhere" to fuel the flames
Sounds pretty normal. The DS Cabal seems to still be in control of scalure weaponry.
Ive lived in socal all my life, seen countless fires. Trees do NOT burn like that. Even going up into the hills after a normal brush fire trees dont look like that, the tops yes, scorched sides sure, but not burning from within. In 2007/08 fire season it burned from north to south then circled back up north. Took days to do so, even with 50 mph winds. These fires pop off in random areas not in accordance with the wind pattern.

I have commented in 8 posts since last night, “Lahana again”.
