They emit Carbon monoxide CO & Carbon dioxide CO2 from burning gas in the combustion engine. However Carbon Dioxide CO2 is a nutrient for earth. Whilst Carbon Monoxide is a noxious gas and is a major pollutant especially from wild fires.
