I must be missing something. What I've seen of Tik-Tok consists of cat videos, part one of stories that never get around to telling part two, ghost stories, and a lot of people preening for the camera like fools -- in short, absolutely nothing worthwhile spying about.
Do the Chinese really care that Americans lime to watch cute cat videos? And this requires a ban on Tik Tok?
Despite the recent barrage of Blue DNC-sponsored bullshit posts, TikTok is a home for uncensored commentary from real people, most of whom lean right. It's a treasure worth keeping. Reminds me of Reddit back in the day.
With phones being ubiquitous and permissions probably required to access the microphone and the camera, there's your spy network.
It probably would have been more appropriate to ban tik tok on all government devices and not allow any devices with it loaded on sensirive facilities.
