The More You Know: Guantanamo Bay Naval Base was formerly the site of a YMCA in Cuba. You Didn't Think That Song Was Just a Coincidence, Did You???

💥 BOOOOOOM 💥

I would hope that the YMCA at Guantanamo Bay is a far cry from today's "woke" YMCA.
From the YMCA's website: "When George Williams founded the first YMCA in Industrial Revolution-era London, he sought to create a supportive community to help young men like himself address pressing social challenges. The idea found a home in the U.S. seven years later at the **Old South Church in Boston." **
The Old South Church in Boston is a United Church of Christ. YMCA stands for Young Men's Christian Association. Even though it has "Christian" in it's name it doesn't seem very "Christian" to me. And of course it's no longer men only.
From it's website I pulled an excerpt from it's DEI statement: "Together, we strive to ensure that everyone, regardless of ability, age, cultural background, ethnicity, faith, gender, gender expression, gender identity, ideology, income, national origin, race or sexual orientation has the opportunity to reach their full potential with dignity."
"Gender expression, gender identity.....sexual orientation". In my view the YMCA has long ago been compromised and infiltrated. We need to take back the YMCA and make it great again!
MYMCAGA!
Way back when, the women had the YWCA. Today it sounds like they're more woke than the YMCA. 🙄
Yes! And I doubt if there's much "Christian" in the YMCA or YWCA.
There isn't.
Sounds like they're both a bunch of shit now.
I guess it depends on where you live. My daughter and her family belong to a YMCA in a fairly rural area. It's very much a family place, as is the one where I live.
