To be honest, you’d really have to listen to the video from count dankula. I’m trying to listen to it right now, just to get acquainted. Basically the dudes, a libertarian, and he believes that you should be able to buy and sell without regulation. Not sure on the actual charges against him, but one of the comments in the YouTube video is that the reason they gave him such a horrific sentence, was to send a message to others that the government doesn’t like you buying and selling without them being able to tax you. Which is I think a huge portion of what occurred now what actually occurred on that dark web, I can’t comment on because I don’t know. The video of Ross, says that in the future, he will be speaking out, and I think we’ll get a better idea of what happened. Once you’re incarcerated, you just don’t have that freedom to be able to share your story, and probably because of whatever deal that you take, ends up, silencing you.

The government had zero problem confiscating billions of bitcoin. I hope it is still there and corrupt government workers didn’t funnel it to their own “wallets”!
