I am married to a Canadian. All my in-laws live there. My Dads mother is from Canada. Her entire family still lives there in Nova Scotia. My son lives and works in London. My wifes best friend lives in the Soo. I grew up in Detroit. My family has a vacation home in Grand Bend. I played travel hockey and spent much time in Canada playing there. Ive spent a shit load of my life in Canada. My condo is full of snowbirds bitching about Canadian health care endlessly. I am intimately aware of how it works in Canada.
Still a better deal than the USA. If you've got money go spend it on quicker healthcare. Not all of us do. For the record, a bigger percentage of the US annual budget goes towards Healthcare than Canada. Maybe you need to change Condos.

I live in florida and the Canadian government has a Canadian Medicare office next door to my gym.
No one ever seems to acknowledge that all forms of welfare, including national pensions, national healthcare, etc are just generational pyramid schemes that require a large cohort of young tax payers to continue running.
With the continued strains keeping young people from actually starting families, all these schemes which require infinite population growth simply do not work, because the fundamental driving paradigm does not match reality.
This was a major beef with obamacare and brought this issue, at least as applied to obamacare, into the national spotlight.

Just think of all the taxes wasted on Foreign Aid, Illegal Immigrants, the Military Industrial Complex with "forever conflicts", Corrupt Politicians with snouts in the trough, Bailing out private banks, funding medical research that the makes mega profits for shareholders and then gouges the very citizens who funded them. The WHO, UN, NATO etc.
Could the money saved give US citizens free healthcare, especially if RFK comes through with MAHA, given a lot of disease is self inflicted by lifestyle. Should VETS at least get free healthcare for life?
I come from a country with a Free Health Care system, and although it is being misused and abused, it is difficult to imagine not having it . (Part of its decline seems to be done on purpose by those with ulterior motives).
The wealthier or those that want first class service and can afford it, also have the choice of paying for private.

I'm a canadian that has wanted to become an American for a long time, the problem is my ex wife doesnt and I can't leave my kids behind or lose my time with them. Our so called rights here vanished during the flu event... immediatly and even with Dr. Notes etc my rights were trampled on. It cost me my dad as well (turbo cancer, work mandated). I see many still brainwashed thinking somehow canaada is better than us.. our Healthcare they say, but if I were to go to the ER even with life threatening illness or issue, there is a chance I will spend 8+ hours in the waiting room, or even die waiting. It's a joke, from the government to the basic simps who just follow the glow of the TV. I hate canada, I know we are in for some pain now, and to be honest, many of us deserve it.
Only legal canadian citizens with 10-15 years of citizenship and their children may be absorbed as american citizens. The rest are free to report to ICE
